so i agreed to run 5km. 

today was the boyfriend and my first run.

it was terrible.

i blame my cough, not being able to breathe and my scared lungs.

you know that can't breathe, burning lungs, runny nose, want to die feeling?

ya that's what it felt like.

why would anyone ever do this to themselves for pleasure?

2.4 km has never felt so long....my lungs felt like they were on fire, it was brutal.

it made me never want to run again... hey i'm just being honest.

oh well it can only go up from here!

so apparently im running 5km

i've never been a huge runner, or jogger for that matter.
this morning however 6 of us signed up to run 5km on july 6.
17 weeks and 3 days till we do the color me rad run.
i best start training.
5km can't be that hard right?

finally our flights are booked and we have found a place to stay!

50 days can't pass fast enough.
i've been waiting for this trip for 2 years.
and while i wish we had a little longer than 5 days, we are going to make the most of it.

why is the world so harsh?

pain, suffering, and heart-ache must be fought with love, kindness and compassion.
but for some reason it feels like good doesn't always conquer evil.
there are mean people, there always will be.

cancer, bullying, depression, job-loss, turmoil.

when will it stop?

please cease the harshness.

the next time you see someone struggling, chose to be kind.
if they are showing their struggles chances are it's a lot worse that it looks.
