why is the world so harsh?

why is the world so harsh?
why do terrible things happen to amazing people.
why do people act the way they do?
what do cruel things happen to beautiful people.

pain, suffering, and heart-ache must be fought with love, kindness and compassion.
but for some reason it feels like good doesn't always conquer evil.
there are mean people, there always will be.

cancer, bullying, depression, job-loss, turmoil.

when will it stop?
2013 please change, please be better.
please cease the harshness.
please be kind.

the next time you see someone struggling, chose to be kind.
if they are showing their struggles chances are it's a lot worse that it looks.
