Because it's grey and dull outside and I wish so badly that spring would come, I thought I would finally share all of our lovely Maui photos from reading week. Yes, you read that right.. we've been home for over 2 months and I'm just getting these up. Opps!

A little March update.
March was a lovely month, spring sort-of-kind-of arrived, I didn't have very many exams at all, and as a result I was able to just kind of coast and enjoy my days.
The highlights of my month were:
Dinner at North 53 with my mama:

Dinner at North 53 with my mama:
Dinner was unreal, these chefs have real talent. If you can swing it you should definitely go and check this place out!
Boyfriend's birthday at The Bothy:
We had a lovely time celebrating with our closets friends at a little wine and whisky bar in downtown Edmonton. It's one of our favourite places to go... just look at the cheese plate!
Wedding in Calgary:
The middle of March meant a trip down to Calgary to celebrate the marriage of some friends! We had a lovely time, and it was fantastic catching up with everyone from Calgary!
Here's to April!

My Graduation Banquet.
March 15 was my graduation banquet. I was the graduation chair which meant I was to plan the entire thing!
Months of preparation and hours upon hours of work in the week learning up to the event ensured that everything (almost everything) went off seamlessly. Dinner was great, the Shaw Conference Centre did such a marvellous job and I think most people had a great time.
I had such a lovely evening, I think everything turned out great, my entire family attended as well as the boyfriend's family.

& for my gown...
Lovely evening, surrounded by lovely friends and family! Now I just have 2 more exams to write and I'll be all done!

Downtown Dining Week 2014.
I meant to get this up weeks ago, I swear...
I made an appearance at 4 lunch spots and 2 dinners. Most of which were amazing!
Lunch
* De Dutch
* Cafe Select
* Normand's Bistro
* Tavern 1903
Dinner
* The Creperie
*Tzin
I would have to say hands down Tzin was my favourite dinner spot, although there wasn't much competition as The Creperie was fairly horrible.
In terms of lunch they were all really great, but I think Normand's takes the cake!

Can you be happy for 100 days in a row?
Recently, or not recently one of my close friends and I started a challenge to take a picture of something that made us happy for 100 days in a row. You can check out the challenge at 100happydays.com.
I've seen a lot of negativity on the internet in regards to this project, things like "how can anyone be happy for 100 days in a row" or "forcing yourself to be happy isn't healthy" but I must say these accusations are both false and misguided.
You see this project is neither a means to force yourself to be happy or a way to ignore all other emotion, it is realistically more of a gratitude project. Find something each day that makes you smile. Some days it's something so inconsequential that you would have never thought it made you happy unless you were specifically looking for something. That's what this project is about, appreciating the little things. Enjoying life.
You can check out my progress on instagram - I'm on day 70, only 30 more days left!
